〈땅과 하늘 사이〉는 영상 작품으로, 정신질환1정신질환: 생각, 감정, 행동에 어려움이 생긴 상태.이 있는 사람을 돌보는 이들의 경험을 담았다. 작가는 돌보는 사람의 몸짓을 춤으로 표현한다.
춤에는 누군가를 돌보며 느끼는 다양한 감정이 담겨 있다. 예를 들면, 가까운 사람에게 느끼는 편안함, 슬프고 답답한 기분, 갑작스러운 상황에 바로 움직여야 하는 몸, 그리고 끝까지 돌보고 싶은 마음 같은 것이다. 작품은 누군가를 돌보는 사람들이 삶을 살아가는 방법을 보여준다.
〈돌봄 색인: 돌봄의 무보(舞譜)〉은 춤으로 나타낸 돌봄의 몸짓을 자세히 담은 사진이다. 춤의 움직임을 언제든 상상할 수 있도록 여러 장의 사진을 이어 붙였다.
〈돌봄 색인: 돌봄의 몸짓〉은 누구나 자신만의 춤을 출 수 있는 공간이다. 누군가를 돌볼 때 어떻게 움직이는지 생각해 보고, 함께 ‘돌봄의 몸짓’을 만들어본다.

알레시아 네오
알레시아 네오는 개인, 커뮤니티, 네트워크와의 협업을 포함하는 장기적인 프로젝트를 개발하고 있다. 사회적으로 개입하는 작업을 하는 그는 주로 사진과 영상, 참여형 작업을 통해 급진적인 환대와 돌봄의 방식을 다룬다. 그는 사회적 참여 예술을 위한 예술 집단이자 플랫폼인 브락(Brack)과 인도네시아 빈탄(Bintan)의 니코이섬(Nikoi Island)에 위치한 우바 루마 레지던시(Ubah Rumah Residency)의 공동 창립자이기도 하다. 또한, 싱가포르의 장애인 예술가들을 위한 전문 및 신진 예술 플랫폼인 ‘보이지 않는 아트 이니셔티브’를 운영하고 있으며, 2016년에 젊은 예술가상을 수상한 바 있다.
Alecia Neo (b.1986) creates participatory works that explore gestures of hospitality and the complex ethics of care. Her practice centers on the relational dynamics between caregiver and care recipient, foregrounding embodied experience of care labor.
Between Earth and Sky is a video work based on the lived experiences of those who care for individuals with mental health conditions. Through a series of workshops, Neo invites each caregiver to translate their caregiving gestures into dance, revealing the nuanced emotional terrain of caregiving: the comfort of intimacy, the weight of grief and frustration, the reflexivity during urgent, unpredictable situations, and the enduring commitment to care. The work offers a deeply human portrait of how care is practised and sustained in everyday life.
Care Index: Scores of Caregiving presents a photographic sequence capturing the movements drawn from the experience of caregiving. The series invites viewers to imagine the dance continuing beyond the frame.
Care Index: Gestures of Care is a participatory installation where visitors are invited to reflect on their own experiences of care, by embodying and contributing new gestures.

Alecia Neo
Alecia Neo develops long-term projects that involve collaborations with individuals, communities, and networks. Her socially engaged practice unfolds primarily through photography, video, and participatory artworks that address modes of radical hospitality and care. She is the co-founder of Brack, an art collective and platform for socially engaged art, and Ubah Rumah Residency on Nikoi Island, Bintan. She also runs Unseen Art Initiatives, a Singapore-based art platform for professional and emerging disabled artists. Alecia was the recipient of the Young Artist Award in 2016.
