최태윤(b.1982)은 시, 기술, 사회, 인간관계를 함께 생각하는 작가다. 연 나탈리 미크(b.1984)는 이주, 노동, 영적인 것을 연구하는 작가다.
2명의 작가가 함께 만든 〈일하지 않는 움직임 / 이주하는 몸들〉은 이주민의 몸을 다시 그리는 공연이다. 움직임을 통해 서로를 공감하는 방법을 연습하는 시간이다. 이주민은 고향을 떠나 다른 곳에서 살아가고 일하는 사람을 뜻한다.
다른 나라에 온 이주민들은 종종 '일하는 사람'으로만 이해되곤 한다. 이주민의 몸도 쉬어야 하고, 아플 수 있으며, 돌봄을 받아야 한다. 그러나 우리 사회는 이 사실에 무관심해 보인다.
일하지 않는 이주민은 어떤 몸짓을 할까? 작가는 일하지 않는 이주민의 몸짓을 기록하고, 미술관에서 다시 보여준다. 춤으로 몸의 이야기를 나누며, 이주민의 몸도 우리의 몸도 모두, 일하거나 무언가 만들어내지 않아도 그 자체로 소중하다는 이야기를 전한다.

최태윤
최태윤은 기술, 사회, 시 그리고 인간관계의 교차점을 연구하는 작가이다. 교육자로서 2013년 뉴욕에서 코딩과 예술의 융합을 연구하는 학교이자 연구 단체인 시적연산학교를 공동 설립했으며, 그 후 연세대학교 사회학과에서 강의했고 현재 웨인주립대학교에서 순수미술을 가르친다. 다양한 장애인 예술가와 협업해 왔으며 휘트니 미술관, LA 카운티미술관, 스미스소니언 아시아 태평양 미국센터, 상하이 비엔날레와 같은 기관에서 작품을 선보인 바 있다. 현재 아티스트-런 스페이스인 포에버 갤러리를 운영하며 예술과 삶의 경계를 탐구한다.
연 나탈리 미크
연 나탈리 미크는 수행적 움직임을 통해 이주, 노동, 그리고 영성의 관계를 탐구하는 시각 예술가이자 퍼포먼스 아티스트이다. 독일 뒤셀도르프에서 한국계 이민자 가정으로 태어났으며, 현재 베를린과 로스앤젤레스를 기반으로 활동 중이다. 그녀는 이완된 퍼포먼스, 드로잉, 낭독을 결합한 독창적인 언어를 개발하며 교육자로서 베를린자유대학교, 슈투트가르트 국립미술아카데미, 한국예술종합학교에서 안무를 강의했다. 『보이지 않는 아카이브: 노들장애인야학』(보이지 않는 아카이브, 2024)을 책임 편집했다.
Choi Taeyoon (b. 1982) is an artist whose practice weaves together poetry, technology, social systems, and human relationships. Yon Natalie Mik (b. 1984) explores migration, labor, and spirituality in her practice.
Their collaborative work Unworking Movements / Migrating Bodies reimagines the body of migrants. Migrants are people who leave their homelands to live and work elsewhere. Often, they are seen only as workers—but their lives are much more than that. Society often overlooks the fact that migrant bodies also need rest, can get sick, and need care.
What gestures emerge from a migrant body not in service of labor? The artists have observed and documented these movements. The performance shows how we can use dance to understand people who have different experiences than us.

Taeyoon Choi
Taeyoon Choi is an artist and educator who explores the intersection of technology, society, poetry and human relations. As an educator, he cofounded the School for Poetic Computation in New York City in 2013, has taught at Yonsei University, and is currently working at the Wayne State University Department of Fine Art. He collaborated with various disabled artists, and has presented projects at the Whitney Museum of American Art, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Smithsonian Asian Pacific Art Center, Shanghai Biennale and others. He runs the artist-run space Forever Gallery in Seoul.
Yon Natalie Mik
Yon Natalie Mik is a performance and visual artist who explores the relationship between migration, labor, and spirituality through the embodiment and performativity of movement. Born in a Korean immigrant family in Düsseldorf, Germany, she is currently based in Berlin and Los Angeles. Her work develops a unique language combining relaxed performance, drawing, and spoken word. As an educator, she has taught contemporary choreography at Freie Universität Berlin, Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart, and Korea National University of Arts. She edited the Invisible Archive: Nodeul School for the Disabled.
